Math: Getting ready for 2D/3D shapes. Here are a few videos to review-

HOMEWORK - TO GET US THINKING ABOUT 2D AND 3D SHAPES. CAN YOU FIND SHAPES AROUND YOUR HOUSE (or on your vacation). TALK TO YOUR FAMILY ABOUT YOUR DISCOVERIES.

Bugs Play: If your child does not have a specific bug that they have been assigned (see previous Blog) then we are asking that parents help your child to pick the bug they would like to be and create a costume.
Right now these are the students (on my list) that don't have a specific bug assigned to them: Millie, ,Isabel, Samuel, Ainsley, Julia, Caleb, Sarah, Emmett, Adriana.

Ladybugs: Girls will needs to wear all black. (leggings, top) We have wings, tutus, and will have volunteers make headbands. They will dance to their song.

Math - What does this DATA tell you? (See if child can tell you .... ANSWER: we took a secret vote first on who would want to work alone or with a partner for Spelling work. It was a tie first. Then we took another secret vote... see the results.


Today we played the white/colored game to improve  our recognition of friendly numbers. Ask you child what is the friendly number that goes with each of these: (Remember friendly numbers are the two numbers that add up to 10).

AFTER SPRING BREAK WE WILL VENTURE INTO SHAPE AND SPACE (2D&3D SHAPES). 
HERE IS INFOR MATION FROM THE PROGRAM OF STUDIES:
Sort 3-D objects and 2-D shapes, using one attribute, and explain the sorting rule. 
Replicate composite 2-D shapes and 3-D objects.
Compare 2-D shapes to parts of 3-D objects in the environment.  



Gym - Dance. We hope you can come watch our dance exercise routine on our Final Day on Monday, April 8. (MARK YOUR CALENDAR - TIME YET TO BE DETERMINED).

















Science - Sense Of Taste (LOOK AT ALL OUR FUTURE SCIENTISTS - RECORDING THEIR FINDINGS)











Science: We are moving forward in our Senses. We are focussing on The Sense of Touch. Tomorrow - Mystery Bags!
Today we tested out our Reactions (how quickly our brain recieves and message and we respond). Test it out on your parents.


For this experiment - one person holds ruler between thumb and finger. Other person has a similar hold at the bottom of the ruler. Without warning, the first person lets go of the ruler and the second person needs to catch it before it falls.
