Writing: We are looking at making a book about 'Our Favorite Things'. Each student will write about 2 or 3 of their favorite things. Each student's work will be a part of the book. Tomorrow we will read the story - Gifts by Jo Ellen Bogart. We will focus on descriptive words, such as how you might add interesting words (or juicy words) to give the reader a better picture. For example, a fuzzy, pink shirt. Or shiny, stretchy black leggings.

On Wednesday, we will read the story - The Smartest Giant In Town. We will focus on quotation marks and how we use those marks when someone is speaking.
