SPRING IS COMING !!! REALLY (RIGHT KIDS?)

Agenda Message: New spelling words. Parents invited to our Monday Assembly at 8:30.

REMINDER: Anytime your child is late for school, they need to go to the office to get a late slip and give it to me when they enter the class. As well, anytime that you are picking up your child, you need to go to the office first and speak with Mrs. Dann so the office if aware that your child is not in the school. If you are late or will be absent please call the office.

We will review the word families for the 5 top spelling words. The families are 'et' and 'ed'. Can you create words that belong to that family (or words that rhyme with those above). For example: 
pet, get, let, set, net, met, 
Science: We tried out an ice experiment today for the Sense Of Touch. We discovered that our sense of touch receptors can adapt to situations over time. Ask your child how the experiment worked.
One type of example of how our sense receptors can adapt might be when we swim in a cool pool. Over time our body adapts to the cool pool and we find that it is ok to swim in. Ask your child if that ever happened to them.

Here is some of our work from Wednesday. We discussed primary and secondary colors. As well, cool and warm colors. Painting on the tree slices (or cookies) will be used on the part of the mural that shows the Black Walnut Tree.















Here is some pics from today! PLEASE ASK YOUR CHILD WHY WE WERE MAKING LEAVES? WHAT PART OF THE MURAL WERE WE CONTRIBUTING TO? (ANSWER: WE WERE MAKING THE LEAVES FOR THE WILD ROSE FLOWER OF ALBERTA -THE KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS WERE MAKING THE FLOWER)


















We have also worked on 3D flowers.

UNFORTUNALTELY I'VE HAD SOMEONE TAKE CHOCOLATE CANDIES FROM MY DESK AGAIN. PLEASE CHAT WITH YOUR CHILD ABOUT HOW THIS IS NOT APPROPRIATE AND DISRESPECTFUL. IF THEY HAVE TAKEN THE CANDIES, AN APOLOGY WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO TRUST MY STUDENTS.
