Teacher's Message: This week, I will be sending home the LAST Scholastic Book Orders. They will be due on Tuesday, May 22.  A HUGE THANK YOU TO MRS. MASSEY FOR ORGANIZING AND ORDERING ALL THE BOOK ORDERS. THAT WAS SUCH A BIG HELP FOR ME! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

As well, we are still missing some 'used' mugs/cups at school for a 'special' project. Please check in with  your child to see if they brought in their mug/cup.

May 7 - Music Monday (all students enjoy various musicians in Gym (take in a comfortable pillow to sit on in gym) - ALL PARENTS ARE INVITED TO HEAR THE MUSICIANS
May 8 - Grandparent/Artifact Project Presentation (2:00 - 3:20) ALL FAMILY MEMBERS INVITED)
May 16 - Volunteer Tea
May 18 & 21 - NO SCHOOL

May 23 - Children's Festival (all day - walking field trip - Grade 1 and 2)
May 24 - Courtyard Mural Presentation and Spring Dance
June 7 - Zoo Field Trip (all day - Grade 1 and 2)
June 28 - Last Day of School (Report Cards Go Home)


WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL!! CAN YOU HELP US OUT?
It's an All Day field trip and you NEED to be able to walk to the C-Train (to and from) the school. Please email me if you can help out. If we don't have enough volunteers (at least 7), then we won't be able to go.

Practicing Our Bugz Play: 

Social Studies: We have been working hard on presenting our best work for our Grandparent/Artifact Presentation on Tuesday, May 8 from 2:00 to 3:20. We hope you can join us!! All families welcome.

Writing Sentences: We've been working hard on making GREAT sentences. Your child is bringing home some work this week on printing proper sentences. Please review the work (several pages) with your child and make any corrections. Complete the FRONT page that asks about '3 important rules about writing a sentence'. 

Here are some rules we reviewed. 

Science: Finishing up Sense of Sight. We explored some items that people use who are blind.
