As well, today we worked on the 'counting on' strategy. This is where the students have a number 10 card and flip over another card to add to it. For example, 10 plus 4 more is 14. Some students need to say 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 (and that is okay at this point). Others are able to say 10 and 4 more is 14. What ALL children need to be able to do is count on from 10. 'Teen numbers' can be tricky.
