NEW - T.W.A.S. - RETURN T.W.A.S BOOK EVERY MONDAY

Your child should be bringing home (EVERY FRIDAY) a new journal book called T.W.A.S - This Week At School. We brainstormed at school the events that have happened during the week (see pic below). Starting out I had my class all write about the bats we made. As the year goes along kids will choose which event they would like to write and draw about to put into their TWAS journal.

When your child takes TWAS home, please find the time to have your child read the journal entry to you. They should point to each word, as they read. Then they should tell you about the picture. Please tell them a few things you like about their work such as: great job writing all those words or I like the colors you used to color your picture. Then you can add one goal for next time such as I would like you to put finger spaces between your words or slow down when you color so you don't go outside the lines.

They worked hard today on their TWAS, especially with the excitement of picture day.
