Reading Levels Are Changing

Hi Parents
We are changing our level system. Right now you have seen that your child brings home a book with a number on the back so they know the appropriate level to read at. The number system is changing over to a letter system. This process has begun, so if there is a mix up over the next few weeks,please be patient. See the correlation chart below.

We are going from PM Benchmarks(number system) to Guided Reading Level (Fountas and Pinnell) (letter system).

PLEASE REMEMBER: YOUR CHILD SHOUD BE READING DAILY AND RETURNING THEIR HOME READING BAG WITH THE BOOK AND DATA BOOK. THE DATA SHOULD BE ENTERED DAILY SO LEVELS CAN BE ADJUSTED IF NECESSARY.
