We are working on sentences.
We focus on:
1. capital at the first
2. period (and other punctation) at the end
3. spaces between our words
For many students, this takes a long time to become a habit. For others, it comes fairly naturally.
When copying a sentence that the teacher has printed, making a great sentence may come easy. Later on when we are constructing our own sentences, they the three parts above can be challenging!
Please review the sentence rules.
Adults print a simple sentence at home.
Ask your child if you followed the three rules.
After a few sentences like this, try to forget a rule. Then ask your child to find your mistake and correct it together!
Lots of fun.
