We will read the story, The Mitten. I will ask students to think of these questions before reading: What color did the boy, Nicky want his mittens to be? Why was Baba (his Grandma) not happy about the color the boy Nick choose? I will ask the students to create a mitten that has a pattern on it, so Nicky would never lose his mitten again.
