Spelling Words

Hi Parents
We will be focussing on 6 High Frequency over the next several weeks. Today I gave the children a pre-test on 10 words.
Most children were able to spell the four simplier words (and, a, go. big). The 6 other words were more of a challenge.
So we will focus on :

funny
come
away
find
for
can

At home,  please write these 6 words on a piece of paper and post in your house. Review them (daily if possible).
If you have them posted at home, please bring them to your child's attention as you read at home as well.
See if your child would like to be tested at home (for review).
Some other ways ideas are : play 'I Spy' and look for words in books or magazines. Try a Memory game with the words.Cut apart the words and your child needs to put the words back together.
In a few weeks, I will retest those words and I'm sure with my review at school and your review at home, we'll see improvments on writing High Frequency words.
