Remembrance Day Response

Today the students needed to answer a question in a complete sentence. The question was:
What part of the ceremony  was important to you?
Why

So answers were NOT : the bugle
or... I like the song. .... or yeah all of it.

Answer sounded like this:
The part of the ceremony that was important to me was _____ because ______.

Students were able to copy the sentence starter but then need to complete the sentence  and be able to reread their sentence.

Overall they did a great job.

Some important words that were used were:

soldier
wreath
1 minute of silence
reminds
song

Here is some great work.

I had to ask Emmett what the lines were. I was interested to hear that he knew about the trenches that the soldiers used during the war.

Beautiful job Julia.

I like how your organized your page.

... included this photo of Ashlyn (not for Remembrance Day)
Ashlyn had used the min whiteboard to remember the parts of a video we saw about how to be a caring citizen.

Ask your child about theirs.
