Remembrance Day Assembly

We had a beautiful ceremony. Thank you for all who attended to show support for our Canadian soldiers. Because the younger students did not 'perform' and sing at the assembly it gave them a chance to take in the ceremony and appreciate all of it's part.

After the ceremony we had a de-brief. I asked the students:

what part of the ceremony was important to them and why?

Please ask them this question again at home.

On Monday, we will record our answer to this question in our Visual Journal.

Here are a few pics from the Ceremony.

As well, here is a video on the story of the poppy.

Here is a video of the The Last Post, which several students commented that they appreciated that part of the ceremony because it made them think of the soldiers that died.
